Wellness & Leadership Series for Self-identified Black Womxn

A key to success for virtually everyone in the workplace is adopting a “managing up” mentality that focuses on how each of us can help our bosses (and other senior leaders) be successful – even if they’re not the “perfect boss”. This presentation defines “managing up” – what it is/isn’t, then explores proven techniques for managing up with a few common varieties of the “difficult boss”: The Tornado, The Clueless Chameleon, The Wishful Thinker, and The Micromanager.

Filling Our Cup: A Self-Preservation Workshop for Black Women with Iresha Picot This workshop will focus on how self-preservation is critical for the survival of Black Women. With the high levels of loneliness, stress, anxiety, and depression that Black Women experience on a daily basis, this interactive workshop will focus on and facilitate a discussion around the importance of self/community care and the restorative practices to help Black Women replenish.
