The award is given to individuals who dedicate themselves to mentoring the next generation of family planning professionals. Through her work with the groundbreaking Turnaway Study, Dr. Foster has and continues to help guide numerous mentees from their early careers into faculty and research positions both at The University of California, San Francisco and elsewhere.
